Latinx playwright, Raul Garza returns to Marfa Live Arts’ Playwright Workshop.

March 6-10, 2023 at Marfa High School

 

Marfa Live Arts’ Playwriting Workshop returns to Marfa High School with special guest, playwright Raul Garza returning to the classroom to help Marfa students write their own plays. The workshop, which marks Marfa Live Arts’ 12th year, will culminate in the popular yearly staged production of young Marfa playwrights’ works.

Garza has drawn acclaim for telling stories that resound with authenticity and sense of place. He boldly explores the intersection of popular culture and cultural identity, and incorporates music, spirituality, and the power of nostalgia into works that span time and location.
